Hello everyone, today I wanna show the difference between two brands of mascara (Tarte VS Lancome). I'm always satisfied with maybelline mascara (drugstore product). Somehow, I'm curious with high end mascara. I bought mini trial version set of tarte mascara at sephora. The price just $10 and you get 2 kind mascara from tarte: (lights, camera, lashes) and (lights, camera, splashes). What do you think with the name?hihi I spot that unique name. Because they have a long name after that I would call the lashes and splashes. For Lancome mascara I get 2 pieces trial version from Lancome Indonesia.

The packaging of tarte. I like sleek and lightweight design but still sturdy. I put mascara in hot water (the lashes one) and it's still fine. I also love the purple color which looks elegant.

Tarte's claim: “This is what we call a push-up bra for your lashes™ a 4-in-1 (lengthening, curling, volumizing and conditioning) dermatologist tested mascara that gives dramatic, thick, sexy lashes and is clinically proven to increase lash volume by 424%.” Wow, 424%?. It looks tempting :)

Tarte's claim: Our lights, camera, splashes™ 4-in-1 mascara could be considered a push-up bikini for your lashes—a 4-in-1 (lengthening, curling, volumizing, and conditioning) plus it’s dermatologist- and clinically-proven to increase the appearance of lash volume after applying giving dramatic, thick and sexy lashes and guaranteed to stay put through rain, sweat or tears.

The brush: tarte light, camera, lashes have more dense bristle than tarte light, camera, splashes. They are sleek with a tapered design. I love both of them, it's easy to use.

Both of them claim 4 in 1 benefit (lengthening, curling, volumizing, and conditioning)but the lashes added benefit to increase lash volume by 424%. Really? I don't think so, it's volumizing as same as the splashes. The lashes more clumps that the splashes. I didn't recommend both to add more than 2 layers because you have to separate your lashes to get natural looks. The splashes wetter than the lashes, but it can dry out easily. My lashes mascara got dry T,T. That's why didnt stand out at the picture above. However, the splashes still wetter when the products new.

Lancome's claim: A new, unique, cone-shaped brush provides an extremely smooth and clean application, precisely defining even your hard-to-reach corners and lower lashes. This the packaging of mini trial version. Nothing special with the packaging, simple with black color. However,the full size product have more cute packaging.

The brush has conical tapered shape. Although it's rather bulky, it easy to use into the inner corner lashes (with tapered tip). The brush also can separate the lashes well.

The black of mascara: I prefer the black of lancome than tarte, it's look more shiny and natural.

Lengthening: Both are equally good but they did't give extremely lengthening. 

Curling: The winner is Tarte, it holds a curl like a wish. While lancome doesn't give that effect. Volumizing: Tarte has clumps finishing more than Lancome, you must be careful to apply tarte mascara. Lancome brush has good separation of lashes and give more natural looks. 

Conditioning: I have no idea but I use both my lashes is fine. They didn't fall out. 

The smell: Lancome has scent that I can smelled,it's a little bit strong. Whereas tarte hasn't, it smells soft like vanila

The brush: Although tarte has more sleek design, I prefer lancome (brush design is unique and cute). Because three of them are easy to use. any tips? my tarte mascara(lashes)got dry now. I've had some time to soak in hot water but only gave temporary change after I was doing that.

Lancome not waterproof and tarte waterproof. Waterproof is very important to me if choosing mascara. Not waterproof mascara will ruin my makeup if I wash my face. Lancome little bit flake. The winner is Tarte, sometimes I like to combine both or just use Tarte lights, camera, splashes :) Will I buy full size? The price difference is more $10 than maybelline mascara and I still love maybelline. Somehow cheap not always bad. Tarte and lancome worthed to buy but I choose to save my money for another product.
